Secret 不能说的秘密
I would like to clarify that i am not a fan of Jay Chou, even after watching Secret. To anyone who haven't watch Secret yet, but have the dying urge to know more about the plot, climax and ending, this is written specially for you :)
On the first day of school in Tanjiang University, Ye Xiang Lun (Jay Chou) chanced upon Lu Xiaoyu (Kwai Lun-Mei) in a music room that contained an antique but very elegant-looking piano, in the old school block that was going to demolished at its 1ooth anniversary graduation day, after hearing a mysterious piano solo played by Xiaoyu.
Both of them then gradually and predictably fall in love with each other. They spend some happy moments together (let ur imagination run a bit, but not too wild! haha). The love between them was those kind of very young, sweet and innocent kind, nothing more than that.
However, there was also another girl named Sky, who was fond on xiang lun. A misunderstanding occurred one day when xiang lun passed a note during lesson time to xiaoyu to meet him in the music room but in the end it was sky who turned up and he mistook her as xiaoyu and kissed her accidentally as he was closing eyes while playing the piano waiting for xiaoyu.
Xiaoyu fled at her top speed after witnessing the scene. Though xiang lun tried to find xiaoyu to explain all the misunderstandings, but he wasn't able to. Apparently, xiaoyu seems to vanished into the thin air. There was no way of contacting or meeting her. This is the end of the first part of the story.
Five months later, during the graduation ceremony, as xiang lun was performing, together with the school orchestra, a pale sickly-looking xiaoyu resurfaced at the grand hall. Xiang lun was thrilled to see her again while playing the piano, and gave chase when she turned and ran away.
Though, xianglun managed to catch up with her, but once again after the brief meeting, xiaoyu was missing and was nowhere to be found. The twist of the movie then came in, actually, nobody knew that about the existence of xiaoyu as they can't see her! Xiang lun was the only one that could see her as he was the first person she met while travelling into the future of 20 years later through a mysterious score labelled as "Secret".
The secret is finally out now! Xiaoyu never know about the note which xianglun tried to pass to her as sky was sitting in front of xiaoyu and thus sky kept the note since it was obivious that she was the "last person" sitting in the row!
Xiaoyu received the rude shock as she was coincidentally going into the music room to find xianglun and she stumbled on the kissing scene. She was really upset and thus she did not played the "Secret" score to go to the future, which explain her absence during the past 5 months. During the 5 months, at around 1979 (sorry, i seems to forgotten abt the dates!) xiaoyu was having a hard time as after returning from the future, she was very depressed!
Xiang Lun's dad (Anthony Wong), Mr Ye, happened to be her teacher and though on the surface he seems to buy her story, but deep down like others, he thought that she was suffering from some form of mental illness. Her classmates made nasty and snide remarks after learning about it and this caused her to stop attending school.
On the graduation day, Mr Ye went to invite her personally to the graduation ceremony. Xiaoyu were in a way being shunned by the others while in school. Miserably, she went back to the music room to play the piano and transported her back to the future, to the 20 years later graduation ceremony.
However, after hugging Xianglun, she saw him wearing sky's braclet and thought that they were an item. Sadly, she went back to her era and died out of heartaches and asthma's attack in the school classroom, in the position as if she was taking a nap on the table.
Xiang Lun unfolded the truth about her death from his dad after acquiring an old photograph of xiaoyu and his dad in the graduation day from xiaoyu's room and dashed out of the house frantically to school to the music room to play the score to go back to the past. The school building at that point of time was on the verge of tearing down. Construction was going on, xiang lun climbed up the building to the music room, broke the glass window, got cut by the shreds of glasses and played the score quickly.
His dad, intrigued by his son's enquiry about xiaoyu, took out the score that xiaoyu had entrusted him to keep, flipped the score and accidentally discovered his son'd name embossed on a folded corner of a page with a love message penned by xiaoyu! Shock was written over his face, and the next scene was he was running like a madman, presumably to school to stop his son but was in vain as the next scene showed that xiang lun while playing the piano, the infrastructure came tumbling down fast and furiously as the they were ripped off by some construction machines.
Despite that Xiang Lun continued to played and before he reached the last note, a drop of crimson blood dripped down from his forehead to the keyboard and when he finished off with the last note, a magnificent iron ball came crushing down to his direction, to his head.
Xiang Lun managed to travel back to the past, however, he died in the present, and everything change. Xiaoyu was the first person he met when he went back, but she doesn't seems to have any recollection of who is he?The last scene was a picture showing that the whole lot of them graduating from Tanjiang uni at 1994 with xiaoyu and xiang lun standing side by side.
I liked the ending, however, there was also one part of the movie which left me dumbstruck. I don't understand how can the words appeared word by word on the desk in the present time?
Never mind, any way, enough of saying, i enjoyed watching it!!!

MI National Day Celebration
A very disappointing one as compared to last year. Last year's seems so much fun and unity among our old classmates, with air of patriotism floating in the air during the sing-along session, though i would not comment on the watching of the Singapore Gala or Gaga or whatever! This year programmes arranged by MI was so dead and dull, comparable to attending a church funeral!
Maybe it was because as what Chu Ting suggested, the incompetent and crappy new NE council, or maybe its because of this year's classmates or because of the screening of the The Invisible City, which was as bad as the Singapore Gaga, that spoilt everything. Whatever. I really couldn't see the purpose of the screening of those long but monotonous documentary! Boring sia...
After the celebrations, Jolene and i bolted out of school to go cineleisure to watch Jay Chou's new film, Secret. It turned out pretty nice! Better than what i had expected. The plot took a turn into a new direction after the first part. Very smart move made! It was indeed a pleasant surprise for me! I loved the second part!!! From a seemingly teen melodrama to a travel to past/ future time concept movie.
I find that when the movie involved in the time travelling concept is always so romantic! Not those very passionate kind of romance, but more of the aesthetic, floaty and dreamy feeling, though sometimes i was not able to get the whole picture.
I was lured to watch Secret by the soundtrack in the trailers and yea, all the soundtracks in the movie was needless to say, superb! I wouldn't even mind purchasing the CD for all the movie soundtracks! Highly recommended to people like Erika, who likes this kind of time travelling movie. It's worth the money!
After watching, went to eat Sakae Sushi buffet with Chu Ting, Jasmine, Jolene and Valerie. Yeah, i did claimed in previous post that i did not really enjoy sakae as much as ichiban nowadays, but sigh~ haha the budget purpose to students! lol! Have a great time there eating, chatting, cracking jokes and even taking some pictures!! (haven really master the art of using digit-cam, didn't take much photos)

Chuting & Me!!
After sushi, Chu Ting and i went to the Presbyterian High School Charitable Carnival. The standard of the carnival was alright, quite a good attempt made for high schoolers to orgnaise a carnival. Both of us bought some food and a pair of earrings, which were 100% self-made by the teachers from the $10 carnival tickets.
There were also areas for improvement especially the food. Like the MI carnival our school had last year, there was not much variety. It was also very stuffy inside the campus as i can't even feel a flap of wind passing, even though the campus was considered relatively large for secondary schools. The condition was further aggravate since this was a carnival and there were more and more people coming in.
Going to the carnival was quite an eye-opener as it made me pondered about MI last year's carnival. I felt quite ashamed about it. A carnival organise by secondary schools seemed more successful than ours! This was so sia shuay, so paiseh man! We were of tertiary level and yet we could not do a beter job than them! What does this mean??? They even have parents support group there to set up store to contribute in the carnival!!
Haha! It seems to me that my own programmes to celebrate national day is far more exciting than the school's one, maybe they should just ask me to organise. Hhahahahaha!!! Er, come to think of better not, i don't fancy myself slaving and doing all these shit jobs for the school. Haha! Hopefully, my buffet have been converted into energy instead of fat for 3 hours of standing and walking around the fair. LOL!!!

Random of Thoughts
A few days ago, i have received a sms invitation from a gyss ex-classmate of mine to her bbq session to celebrate her upcoming birthday. Instead of smiling to myself for clinching an invitation, I was rather puzzled by her gesture. It has been almost 2 full years since we last spoke to each other. Many thoughts and recollections have once against erupted in my mind.
There were a couple of unhappy incidences...
When the people whom you regard as good friends act like a bunch of jerkass, completely forgetting your existence in the world, is just like receiving jaw-jarring slaps across your face.
If its really truly your friend, they will treat you with the basic respect!
I don't believe in "forgive and forget" theory to a large extent. Hey, that's not because i m being petty, narrow-minded or unmagnanimous, i think that if you really can forgive and forget that easily and coolly, taking it at your stride, it must be something that is not of much significance.
I strongly believe that i can do without them, and for sure, i deserve better!
Ok, back to present. Regarding to the invitation, i am really dubious about the sincerity and the motive. I am not trying to be a bitch or cynic or whatever, but it's just logical, plainly-being we were merely strangers. I just felt so distant from them. They are the past, and i have no wish to reminisce the past...

SBS Transit
Shit man! i am late for school again! Damn! Screw that SBS Transit!!! Guess what? The stupid bus 157 break down right after njc, in the middle of the road, half way through before reaching MI! Super duper pissed off man! 妈的!好不来, 晚不来, 这个时候跟我来个机械故障,公车竟然在公路上抛锚了! 真是气死我啦!!!
Another thing to comment about this SBS Transit, have ur ever noticed that most of the SBS Transit drivers were really super kiasi that they thought they will crash into something that they always drive until damn so bloody slow, with pace that seems like a tortise crawling!
Secondly, i would also like to add on that whenever the traffic light was going to turn from green to red, the drivers will purposely slow down and wait for it to turn red before stopping a smooth halt instead of gunning forward to avoid the waiting!
Thirdly, a piece of advice to everyone, if you are running late to your destination, DO NOT take those double-deckers bus provided by the SBS Transit. This is because:

Thirdly, a piece of advice to everyone, if you are running late to your destination, DO NOT take those double-deckers bus provided by the SBS Transit. This is because:
- As mentioned in the previous paragraph, trust me, u will be having a hard time sitting still and comfortably as you will surely be cursing and swearing at the driver under your breath because it also seems to be the only way to vent our frustations to make yourself feels slightly better.
- Due to the density and size of double-decker bus, which looks rather bulky and seems really clumsy, the speed is halved times of single deck! Think about it, if the single-deck bus is already travelling at such a slow tu-tu tortise speed, aren't the double deck going to travelled at a speed of a ...ermm..snail?
- The smell of the bus available in plentiful quantity in both decks, can be descibed as a pool of fresh urine. Try taking the double deck bus 143 from toa payoh interchange in the morning at about 6:30 am, and you will get your first hand of experience!
