Valentine's Day Celebration

After a whole morning full of phone calls, i met up with valerie and jolene to celebrate v-day!

Initially, we planned to catch some movies but after scanning the screen for the seats available at the movie tickets booth at Cathay, we were no longer into that mood anymore. It was simply just soo packed. End up we all headed towards vivo to spend our time shopping, eating and chatting.

I officially announced that i am a fan of the White Dog Cafe. Though we had spent almost an hour queuing before we got a seat at the cafe, the food was really yummy. Pricing was just nice, it was not too outrageously expensive. The ambience there was also rather cosy. I enjoyed my dinner very much.

Kiwi Passion fruit juice with the crunchy but not too oily chicken leg served with the rich heavenly smelling, appetite whetting mushroom sauce. I will definitely go back and dine again!!

CNY'09 @ Sentosa Flower Festive

ME!! @ Land of Green

This has been my first time working during CNY. Usually, for the past years, i have always spend the time going house-visiting, eating, watching tv and collecting ang-bao.

I have been working as an event host for the Sentosa Flower Festive 09. It was a 9-day event, from 24 jan till 1 feb and was quite an eye-opener as i get to see quite alot while working. I was rather fortunate as compared to my fellow crew as some of them encountered really nasty visitors who threathened to complain them to some higher authority. Even though the pay was not a lot, still i am glad that i took up this assignment during this long vacation and added some colours onto it.

Initially, i signed up for this assignment just purely out of fun after seeing the advertisement to hire some crew for the festive. I just thought that i can find an excuse to shift my restless lazy bum out of the house, into the sun, to be immersed to the nature, flowers, colours, people, noise during the flower festive, an event which i longed to be part of the crowd, and also i can get to visit sentosa for free.

I took many pictures at Imbiah and some at Palawan. There were really many beautiful spots and graphics which i wished i could capture.

To sum up, after signing off from work on the last day of the event, i do undedrstand that every job scope has its own challenge no matter how slack, or how easy the job seems to be to everybody's eye. Definitely, at one moment while working, one would feel lethargic and tired out of a sudden. Hence, it was really not easy to earn a living.
Must be more careful in spending $$$ from now onwards...hahaha
Up till today,
  • I never knew that there were so much foreigners working in S'pore

  • Singaporeans is the most difficult bunch of people to serve, sad to say...

  • Sentosa was actually rather small

  • Your bosses are normally not the best kind souls in the world, which you orginally pictured them as some teacher who will guide you along the way with patience and understanding since they themselves had walked this path before. BUT, unfortunately, that's just not the case. It's a vicious cycle continuing forever till doomsday!

  • I really prayed that i won't fall into the same category in future.

  • Never should anybody try to go out on an outgoing, be it with your family members or friends, to this kind of event, opened to the public during a public holiday, especially during day one of CNY because its a crazy sight and a big turnoff for roamance, anticipation, fun and laughter due to the long queue for practically almost any single damned thing.

Current Updates

I hate my current temp job.

I hated 90% of those damn customers who phoned in and made a hell out of my day.I am counting down to 28 mar '09 (the end of my contract; yeaa!!)

I am trying to finish the mass production of my valentine's day gifts

I am currently seeking solace from watching drama series to rejuvenate my poor soul after listening to a whole day of grumbles and disputes

I am trying to withhold my temper to engage in a verbal fight of cursing and swearing at those irritatingly idiotic, rude, ill-bred, crude, domineering, petty & narrow-minded customers.

I am trying hard not to sink into the same level of these kind of ugly customers by being more patient with the people in the service line. Seriously, most of the time, customers is always NOT right! especially at call centre!!!!

I think the system at the call centre is not just rigid but crappy and full of shit! And i god-damned cant be bothered following them.

PS: Gosh, I really do hate my current job!
