OLE Toa Payoh

A very hectic afternoon with visitors swarming in... I was stationed at the check-in counter. Toa Payoh HDB hub is definitely a more ideal place to hold the exhibition as compared to Woodlands as its more spacious and airy and it's very near my house! hahahah....

However, today's shift was the most problematic one as compared to the other 3. There were some problems with the mp3 chargers as 1 mp3 charger could only charge two mp3 players at one go...hence there were a small pile of mp3 players awaiting to charge...worse still there were many battery flat cases as visitors while jus halfway through the tracks when the mp3 player went dead!

A very cumbersome situation indeed as they will have to u-turn back to the check-in counter and wait for replacement before proceeding on! The pace and the flow of the story-telling is disturb in the meantime. I also realised that visitors came in a whole caboodle at one point of time and at the next moment, the check-in counter was empty. So one moment we will be super busy setting up the mp3 players and before we realised it, we were counting flies and chit-chatting away. LOL! Time passed by in a wink.

Hmmm, today's visitors were mainly students, tertiary students, about our age dropped in for a tour. There is also a group of Korean students, together with their language teacher, from some international school, came in to have a look. We were rather trapped at that time as they were not enuf mp3 players to cater to the group.

One Life Experience (OLE) exhibition (Singapore)

The World AIDS day is held on the 1st of dec every year. This year, the World Vision Organisation was launching a One life Experience walkthrough exhibition to allow visitors to be immersed in the lives of young people living with AIDS and also to increase the awareness of HIV/AIDS. It will be held at 4 different venues from Dec 1 - Feb 3.

At the start of this dec, I have been performing a 3-day stint as a volunteer in the OLE exhibition held in a tent that was bulit outside Woodlands Civic Center. During these 3 days, I have filled in at 3 different stations, the check-in counter, health clinic and check-out counter.

The exhibition was a rather small-scale kind and this was also my first time volunteering in such event. The exhibition was structured in a maze-like form. It was divided into 3 foot-tracks, based on the real-life account story of Beatrice from Africa, Srey Mom from Cambodia and Ah Hock from Singapore. These 3 foot-tracks will ultimately end at the health clinic before proceeding on to the reflection corner, the jotting of notes of encouragements to the HIVs/AIDS patients area and the bracelet-making section before reaching the check-out counter.

I daresay this exhibition was definitely worth a visit as not only its free of charge, the style of presentation and the way of story-telling through an audio-set issued can really intrigue and create a strong impact on the visitors (also provided that you really follow the tracks and narrator closely). Hey, i even saw a middle-age woman break down and cried after the visit during the 1st day.

On the whole, though there were some hiccups occurred during the exhibition, still it proceed smoothly as the event has received sizeable number of positive responses from the visitors.

Doraemon The Movie 2007 哆啦A梦:大雄的恐龙

(大雄) Nobita is determined to excavate out a dinosaur egg after being provoked by (小夫) Suneo’s refusal to let him take a look at the fossil stones which his father had bought for him in America.

Through some form of luck, while helping an uncle to dig out a hole to bury a basket of rubbish, he stumbled upon a heavy bulky-looking stone, which turn out to be a Futabasaurus egg, a tame dinosaur breed that had lived in Japan millions years ago after wrapping in a Time Furoshiki (time wrapping cloth).

Nobita named his new pet (吡之助)"Pe-suke". Under Nobita's gentle care, Pe-suke grew bigger and had to be kept in the pond at the neighbourhood park. Nobita and Doraemon then decided to send Pe-suke back to the Cretaceous Period using the Time Machine after a huge commotion made by the residents that there was a monster in the pond.

As they travel across time, the trio were chased and ambushed by a mysterious man, who turns out to be a dinosaur-hunter. They managed to dodge pass but the time machine had gone hay-wired and sent them to the continent of America in the Cretaceous Period instead of Japan!

Nobita and Doraemon didn’t notice it as they were overwhelmed by sadness of sending Pe-suke away. Later, they went to check on Pe-suke on its well-being on the island through an amazing gadget made by Doraemon and to their horror they discovered their mistake and saw that Pe-suke was being bullied by a bunch of ferocious American dinosaurs.

Without hesitation, Nobita pushed Doraemon down to the time machine and together, they were joined by (静香) Shizuka, (胖虎) Gian and Suneo in the adventure of fetching Pe-suke to the right habitat.

After reaching Pe-suke, the time machine completely broke down due to over-loading of people and the previous damages incurred from the firing of the dinosaur-hunter. This mark the start of the adventure as the group will have to travel back to Japan through other modes of transport like the Take-copter and riding on the back of the fastest dinosaur breeds, after doraemon fed them with riceballs!

Through the journey, they encountered the T-Rex and were pursued at the hot heels of the illegal organisation of the dinosaur hunters before reaching Japan safely, biding farewell to Pe-suke before going back to time.

The first 10 min of the movie was rather dry though it was essential for the movie but this was compensated back by the adventure part of the group. This part was truly enthralling and cute! I really felt as if I am also part of them in the adventure, traveling, cowering from the sight of T-Rex and other humongous looking dinosaurs, escaping away from the dinosaur hunters!

Pls: Pe-suke is soooooo CUTE!!! I simply adored it!!!

这算是所谓的 "a blessing in disguise" 吗?

Moving on...

Yea...op is finally over.

Finally I dont have to touch pw for my entire life...
Finally I have time for my econs...Here I come!!!

But damn! screw up during the q&a session, practically almost everybody in my group fell flat on the q&a session. My performance for the presentation was ok, but at the q&a session it was horrid!

Really have the urge to get back at Dickson for falling asleep during the presentation. Basket! yea even though he was just being frank by showing us that the presentation was boring, but in a way he has sort of sabo us. Furthermore, he had saw our presentation for so many times during the rehearsal, definitely it will not be interesting to him anymore!

haha... but I think Jolene will kill me right after their presentation...

Ahh, enough of pw, let's close off this chapter...

Yesterday, I went to Changi Airport to send Diana off to Indonesia. She will be furthering her studies at Australia, Melbourne in La Trobe University...For her, school will officially commence at Feb 2008. Though she will be coming back again during the end of nov to gather all her belongings back, it will definitely be a long period of time before I meet up with her.

Good luck & All the best for your new beginning in Australia! Bon Voyage and do take care of yourself! :)
Jieying and Angeline initially wanted to send her off but they were late and no choice Diana have to board up and depart before seeing them. In the end I met up both of them at the mrt station. We had a polite conversation while exchanging contacts before I board down at Eunos station to take bus 966 home.

It has been quite a long time since the three of us have a conversation together... Everybody has changed in a way...including me myself..All of us are moving on...

Is this the start of a whole new beginning? Perhaps... i really have no idea...Let's just leave it to nature and faith to take course...

I didn't managed to take any photos...so these are just some picture from Yahoo!Image

A Lousy Week

Insomnia hit me on Wednesday night. I barely get a wink of sleep before realising that it was time to get up to school. It's a very rare phenomenon to me as I usually sleep like a log.

Stayed up late to do finished up the wr. By the time its done, I am like a walking zombie...I immediately collapsed onto the sofa after setting the alarm. Due to the accumulation of fatigue within this week, my biological clock when hay-wired. I didnt response to the ringing of alarm this morning. Its yingsong who woke me up.

In the end, i got to hail a taxi to go school. What a waste of money!

Does fairness really exists in the world? Apparently not...

The submission of Written Report(WR) is coming to a closing date at Friday, 19 Oct. Our group has only done 3 drafts as compared to some other groups who have gone through 5-6 drafts, i really felt so pathetic!
For my PI and EOM, i had done at least at least 5 drafts for both and only felt that it was just alright, not superb or amazing! Can your see how insecure i am this time round? I really couldn't comprehend why some people can be so nonchalant about it! It just infuriates me!

Many of my friends were also stuck in the dilemma of whether should they contribute more than what they should and benefit those free-loaders or should they all just die together! Teamwork is always like this, its either you survived together or perished together. Every member was tied to one another!

How nice it will be to be able to choose my own group! Definitely we will be able to achieve efficiency and team-work! I am assured of that! Damn! We have also brought out to ms chan during the conversation that the groupings arrangements made by the teachers really sucks! They should just put people into groups according to their attitude and aptitude. In this case, it will then be fair to those who are willing to work as they won't be dragged down by those who are unwilling to work!

Seriously, will it really help if you put the person with a good attitude with another who is exactly of the opposite side. Do teachers really think that those bad and lazy ones will be influenced and will turn good? My foot! If that really the case! Honestly, those free-loaders can't even be bothered in the first place, if they were to die together, just let them be! Most of them probably deserved it! Don't deprive on others survival. It's them who is being selfish, why should they rest be the sacrificial offerings?
Isn't this annoying? Don't you all think so?

Snip snip...

I realised something today...

People whom you may be on good terms with, people whom you can crap with or easily picked up a conversation, may not necessary be those whom you can work well with in a team doing project work.... I guess i am more of an "individualist" as i really prefer to work alone than in a group...

I find it hard to work with my pw mates...

I was damned frustrated with pw...it's wasting alot of my precious time, depriving my revision for my chinese and econs, which i certainly felt that i can do well in it spending all these priceless time on them instead on something which seems to bear no fruits no matter how much effort i invest in.

So frustrated that i have bolted back home after school, switch off my hp so that i won't be hearing anything from my pw mates or rather, about pw...i wanted to run..faraway from it.

I am debating with myself whether is it worth it for me to spend so much time on pw...i haven't even touch my other H1s...Really have this urge to heck about pw since its just weigh about a fucking 10%.

Yea.. i also went to cut my hair...its about time to...i never let my hair grow more than about 1 year...that's why the longest length i ever had is just merely a little bit longer than shoulder length...haha. Guess that i just grow sick of it and wanted to make some changes after a while, just like having a small ripple to shake up the mundane, routine life.

Snip snip...bits of fine liked pencil lead hair fall silently....snip snip....snip snip....let all my frustrations be intergrated into it...snip snip...let it fall....

Yea... my head felt so much lighter with this brand new hairstyle. I promised i will braced up to face pw and won't be a burden, a liablity to my group mates.

Seriously, i can't imagine why some people can be so thick-skinned by being a free-loader, expecting others to prepare his food and get to savour it without helping out!

Don't they have any pride?
Do they know that actually nobody owes them any shit?

My Top 5 favourite Happy Tree Friends Episodes

Haha! I have been watching Happy Tree Friends episodes recently.

Be warned! Do not be deceive by those cute, cuddly animals featured with a kiddy rythmic backgroung tune in ALL the episodes. You are watching one of the most gory and illogical flash cartoons by Mondo Mini Shows.

Hmmm, but if you have a strange sense of humour, you will definitely be hook up by it! Muhahaha!!!!

In no particular order:

1) Boo Do You Think You Are?

2) Meat Me for Lunch

3) Flipping Burger

4) Let It Slide

5i) Happy trails (part I)

5ii) Happy trail (part II)

Embarassing Moment

Oh gosh!!! I am such a moronic retard! I was caught in menses (red alert) during lesson. A large freaking patch of stain painted horribly at the rear, lower end of my skirt! Worse of all, it was James, who happened to be sitting right behind me, with nearly a whole row of guys, informed me about it!!! Ahhh!!! Can you believe it! This is so------embarrassing!!!

As our sch-u is of shades of light blue, there was really a striking contrast formed that was too impossible to feign a pretense! I was left with no choice but to go to the general office to borrow a skirt. Wah, i felt like an anorexic after browsing and flipping through the storage cupboard. All the waistband of the skirts available were so large, almost all were twice my size!

In the end, I went to the bookshop to purchase a bunch of safety pins before changing. The skirt was reeked with a sort of stench, it hung loosely around my hips area after buttoning and zipping up. I think with a little bit more of strength, i can just easily pulled it down!

Yuck! It was so uncomfortable and for the rest of the time, i was counting down for the end of school hours to rush home to change.

Haiz~ maybe this explains about the explosive outburst recently due to pms.

Vexed

I am in a thundering black BLACK bad mood this evening. It was already a not so fantastic day in the morning due to the new timetable slots. 2 periods of econs and 2 periods of the patience sucker pw at one go. During pw, received notice that we have to stay back in school till about 5 pm for some pw workshop. Damn! This sucks!

During the workshop, I was terribly hunger while my stomach growled in union together with my brain, which was protesting for food and sleep. I was also damned sleepy as i kept nodding off.

Finally, when everything is over, I was preparing to go home and damned i missed the 985 bus. All thanks to that bus driver from the sbs bus 174 driving at such a fucking slow speed and stopping at all stops when it was not even necessary! In the end, I took bus 157 home instead. This driver was also not any better! It took such a fucking long hour to reach my house plus my stomach was also not being helpful by increasing the frequency of the growling!!! DAMN!!!

When I reached home and saw what's for dinner, i was just simply pissed off. Everything is just not good today! Things got worse off when mum started to provoke my smouldering frustrations as I complained that the dinner served was not palatable to my appetite. Yea, I know its my fault for picking at the food but i don't really have a liking for the potato leaves veggie and chilli lala. Furthermore, the potato leaves veggie is served 2 in separate big plates, such a large portion that irks me off directly! Nasty-looking greens!!!

In a heated moment, I just stormed out of the flat angrily for dinner as what my dad suggested. "If you not happy, if you don't want to eat, you can just go and buy your own dinner!" Fine!

I seems to vent out some of my bottled frustrations and anxiety while walking quickly and stamping down stairs to the hub. Hmmm, seems like i have found a new way to manage my anger. Instead of cooping at home, taking a walk really brightens me up!! Went to have ice-cream at Mac after dinner to dissolve the remaining bad mood left in me....

This is so tiring....

I have been slacking like a couch potato during this weekend. Though i m suppose to work on my pw, but i m really not in the mood to do so...

Out of a whim, i suddenly felt like re-reading this particular short story. And hence, immediately i went online to source for it and also the song adaptation.

I remembered that i was instantly captivated by the song when Ms Tew played the song for the class during one chinese enrichment lesson. She also handled us a printed version of the story. The starting melancholy tune followed by the narration of the story filled both my entire ears up to the brim!

Do listened to the song first before reading the story as the "feel" will be more intense.
And...here it goes...

Phoneless...

Promos exams is finally over....

But....

I have lost my phone...My first handphone...yesterday. My hp accidentally slipped off from my skirt pocket and landed silently on the cushion bus seats of bus 56. I didnt realised it until i put my hands into my pocket for my hp to phone my mum to ask her what she wants for lunch.

I was careless and unobservant partially because i was really hungry and tired after taking the chemistry paper, my least favourite subject, and hence i was on a hurry to board down the bus and didnt notice the bulk in my pocket has shrunk...

Amusingly, one of schoolmates also lost her hp last fri, i never knew that my hp will also be lost shortly after her... The only thing that seems consoling is that my hp cost just about $100+ when purchased, and it current market value might be around $50+ after depreciation, and hence whomever the petty thief who took the hp would not gained much either.

However, this is still my very first hp, and i can't even last it for 2 years! What the heck! I felt so retard....Even though my hp doesnt have much functions offered liked those latest phones, i was rather used to have it around as it also act as my watch and alarm clock in particular...

In future, i dont think i will ever get a hp that cost more than $200, just in case i lost it again...The feeling of losing things just sucks, it really dampen my spirits...

Secret

I would like to clarify that i am not a fan of Jay Chou, even after watching Secret. To anyone who haven't watch Secret yet, but have the dying urge to know more about the plot, climax and ending, this is written specially for you :)

On the first day of school in Tanjiang University, Ye Xiang Lun (Jay Chou) chanced upon Lu Xiaoyu (Kwai Lun-Mei) in a music room that contained an antique but very elegant-looking piano, in the old school block that was going to demolished at its 1ooth anniversary graduation day, after hearing a mysterious piano solo played by Xiaoyu.

Both of them then gradually and predictably fall in love with each other. They spend some happy moments together (let ur imagination run a bit, but not too wild! haha). The love between them was those kind of very young, sweet and innocent kind, nothing more than that.

However, there was also another girl named Sky, who was fond on xiang lun. A misunderstanding occurred one day when xiang lun passed a note during lesson time to xiaoyu to meet him in the music room but in the end it was sky who turned up and he mistook her as xiaoyu and kissed her accidentally as he was closing eyes while playing the piano waiting for xiaoyu.

Xiaoyu fled at her top speed after witnessing the scene. Though xiang lun tried to find xiaoyu to explain all the misunderstandings, but he wasn't able to. Apparently, xiaoyu seems to vanished into the thin air. There was no way of contacting or meeting her. This is the end of the first part of the story.

Five months later, during the graduation ceremony, as xiang lun was performing, together with the school orchestra, a pale sickly-looking xiaoyu resurfaced at the grand hall. Xiang lun was thrilled to see her again while playing the piano, and gave chase when she turned and ran away.

Though, xianglun managed to catch up with her, but once again after the brief meeting, xiaoyu was missing and was nowhere to be found. The twist of the movie then came in, actually, nobody knew that about the existence of xiaoyu as they can't see her! Xiang lun was the only one that could see her as he was the first person she met while travelling into the future of 20 years later through a mysterious score labelled as "Secret".

The secret is finally out now! Xiaoyu never know about the note which xianglun tried to pass to her as sky was sitting in front of xiaoyu and thus sky kept the note since it was obivious that she was the "last person" sitting in the row!

Xiaoyu received the rude shock as she was coincidentally going into the music room to find xianglun and she stumbled on the kissing scene. She was really upset and thus she did not played the "Secret" score to go to the future, which explain her absence during the past 5 months. During the 5 months, at around 1979 (sorry, i seems to forgotten abt the dates!) xiaoyu was having a hard time as after returning from the future, she was very depressed!

Xiang Lun's dad (Anthony Wong), Mr Ye, happened to be her teacher and though on the surface he seems to buy her story, but deep down like others, he thought that she was suffering from some form of mental illness. Her classmates made nasty and snide remarks after learning about it and this caused her to stop attending school.

On the graduation day, Mr Ye went to invite her personally to the graduation ceremony. Xiaoyu were in a way being shunned by the others while in school. Miserably, she went back to the music room to play the piano and transported her back to the future, to the 20 years later graduation ceremony.

However, after hugging Xianglun, she saw him wearing sky's braclet and thought that they were an item. Sadly, she went back to her era and died out of heartaches and asthma's attack in the school classroom, in the position as if she was taking a nap on the table.

Xiang Lun unfolded the truth about her death from his dad after acquiring an old photograph of xiaoyu and his dad in the graduation day from xiaoyu's room and dashed out of the house frantically to school to the music room to play the score to go back to the past. The school building at that point of time was on the verge of tearing down. Construction was going on, xiang lun climbed up the building to the music room, broke the glass window, got cut by the shreds of glasses and played the score quickly.

His dad, intrigued by his son's enquiry about xiaoyu, took out the score that xiaoyu had entrusted him to keep, flipped the score and accidentally discovered his son'd name embossed on a folded corner of a page with a love message penned by xiaoyu! Shock was written over his face, and the next scene was he was running like a madman, presumably to school to stop his son but was in vain as the next scene showed that xiang lun while playing the piano, the infrastructure came tumbling down fast and furiously as the they were ripped off by some construction machines.

Despite that Xiang Lun continued to played and before he reached the last note, a drop of crimson blood dripped down from his forehead to the keyboard and when he finished off with the last note, a magnificent iron ball came crushing down to his direction, to his head.

Xiang Lun managed to travel back to the past, however, he died in the present, and everything change. Xiaoyu was the first person he met when he went back, but she doesn't seems to have any recollection of who is he?The last scene was a picture showing that the whole lot of them graduating from Tanjiang uni at 1994 with xiaoyu and xiang lun standing side by side.

I liked the ending, however, there was also one part of the movie which left me dumbstruck. I don't understand how can the words appeared word by word on the desk in the present time?

Never mind, any way, enough of saying, i enjoyed watching it!!!

MI National Day Celebration

A very disappointing one as compared to last year. Last year's seems so much fun and unity among our old classmates, with air of patriotism floating in the air during the sing-along session, though i would not comment on the watching of the Singapore Gala or Gaga or whatever! This year programmes arranged by MI was so dead and dull, comparable to attending a church funeral!

Maybe it was because as what Chu Ting suggested, the incompetent and crappy new NE council, or maybe its because of this year's classmates or because of the screening of the The Invisible City, which was as bad as the Singapore Gaga, that spoilt everything. Whatever. I really couldn't see the purpose of the screening of those long but monotonous documentary! Boring sia...

After the celebrations, Jolene and i bolted out of school to go cineleisure to watch Jay Chou's new film, Secret. It turned out pretty nice! Better than what i had expected. The plot took a turn into a new direction after the first part. Very smart move made! It was indeed a pleasant surprise for me! I loved the second part!!! From a seemingly teen melodrama to a travel to past/ future time concept movie.

I find that when the movie involved in the time travelling concept is always so romantic! Not those very passionate kind of romance, but more of the aesthetic, floaty and dreamy feeling, though sometimes i was not able to get the whole picture.

I was lured to watch Secret by the soundtrack in the trailers and yea, all the soundtracks in the movie was needless to say, superb! I wouldn't even mind purchasing the CD for all the movie soundtracks! Highly recommended to people like Erika, who likes this kind of time travelling movie. It's worth the money!

After watching, went to eat Sakae Sushi buffet with Chu Ting, Jasmine, Jolene and Valerie. Yeah, i did claimed in previous post that i did not really enjoy sakae as much as ichiban nowadays, but sigh~ haha the budget purpose to students! lol! Have a great time there eating, chatting, cracking jokes and even taking some pictures!! (haven really master the art of using digit-cam, didn't take much photos)

Jasmine & Jolene

Valerie, J&J

Chuting & Me!!

After sushi, Chu Ting and i went to the Presbyterian High School Charitable Carnival. The standard of the carnival was alright, quite a good attempt made for high schoolers to orgnaise a carnival. Both of us bought some food and a pair of earrings, which were 100% self-made by the teachers from the $10 carnival tickets.

There were also areas for improvement especially the food. Like the MI carnival our school had last year, there was not much variety. It was also very stuffy inside the campus as i can't even feel a flap of wind passing, even though the campus was considered relatively large for secondary schools. The condition was further aggravate since this was a carnival and there were more and more people coming in.

Going to the carnival was quite an eye-opener as it made me pondered about MI last year's carnival. I felt quite ashamed about it. A carnival organise by secondary schools seemed more successful than ours! This was so sia shuay, so paiseh man! We were of tertiary level and yet we could not do a beter job than them! What does this mean??? They even have parents support group there to set up store to contribute in the carnival!!

Haha! It seems to me that my own programmes to celebrate national day is far more exciting than the school's one, maybe they should just ask me to organise. Hhahahahaha!!! Er, come to think of better not, i don't fancy myself slaving and doing all these shit jobs for the school. Haha! Hopefully, my buffet have been converted into energy instead of fat for 3 hours of standing and walking around the fair. LOL!!!

Random of Thoughts

A few days ago, i have received a sms invitation from a gyss ex-classmate of mine to her bbq session to celebrate her upcoming birthday. Instead of smiling to myself for clinching an invitation, I was rather puzzled by her gesture. It has been almost 2 full years since we last spoke to each other. Many thoughts and recollections have once against erupted in my mind.

There were a couple of unhappy incidences...

When the people whom you regard as good friends act like a bunch of jerkass, completely forgetting your existence in the world, is just like receiving jaw-jarring slaps across your face.

If its really truly your friend, they will treat you with the basic respect!

I don't believe in "forgive and forget" theory to a large extent. Hey, that's not because i m being petty, narrow-minded or unmagnanimous, i think that if you really can forgive and forget that easily and coolly, taking it at your stride, it must be something that is not of much significance.

I strongly believe that i can do without them, and for sure, i deserve better!

Ok, back to present. Regarding to the invitation, i am really dubious about the sincerity and the motive. I am not trying to be a bitch or cynic or whatever, but it's just logical, plainly-being we were merely strangers. I just felt so distant from them. They are the past, and i have no wish to reminisce the past...

SBS Transit

Shit man! i am late for school again! Damn! Screw that SBS Transit!!! Guess what? The stupid bus 157 break down right after njc, in the middle of the road, half way through before reaching MI! Super duper pissed off man!

Another thing to comment about this SBS Transit, have ur ever noticed that most of the SBS Transit drivers were really super kiasi that they thought they will crash into something that they always drive until damn so bloody slow, with pace that seems like a tortise crawling!

Secondly, i would also like to add on that whenever the traffic light was going to turn from green to red, the drivers will purposely slow down and wait for it to turn red before stopping a smooth halt instead of gunning forward to avoid the waiting!

Thirdly, a piece of advice to everyone, if you are running late to your destination, DO NOT take those double-deckers bus provided by the SBS Transit. This is because:

  • As mentioned in the previous paragraph, trust me, u will be having a hard time sitting still and comfortably as you will surely be cursing and swearing at the driver under your breath because it also seems to be the only way to vent our frustations to make yourself feels slightly better.

  • Due to the density and size of double-decker bus, which looks rather bulky and seems really clumsy, the speed is halved times of single deck! Think about it, if the single-deck bus is already travelling at such a slow tu-tu tortise speed, aren't the double deck going to travelled at a speed of a ...ermm..snail?

  • The smell of the bus available in plentiful quantity in both decks, can be descibed as a pool of fresh urine. Try taking the double deck bus 143 from toa payoh interchange in the morning at about 6:30 am, and you will get your first hand of experience!

The Invisible Target

The show started off with its first scene with an engaged woman shopping alone for her wedding ring while communicating with her fiance, Chan Chun (Nicholas Tse) through hp to decide for the perfect ring. The movie was then quickly smack off with a massive armoured truck explosion on a road, by a gang of robbers made up of 7 orphans cum siblings to steal the $100 million transported, near the jewellery shop, killing the woman right on the spot.

Six months later, HK cop Chan Chun, who vowed to avenge for the death of his fiance, through fate, teamed up with two other cops Fong Yik Wei (Shawn Yu) and Wai King Ho (Jaycee Chan) to tackle this bunch of notorious robbers who were back in HK to settle some personal scores with a corrupted high ranking police officer for betraying them to the police and also to get back their fair share of stolen money.

The movie was just simply packed with action for practically every scene. Yea, though i do enjoy watching action flick movie, but too much of action can be a bit... hmm boring...as it is predicable. In fact, this film reminds me of another non-stop action flick, DOA (Death or Alive). Overall, this is just a watchable show, even if you miss it, don't worry, its should not cause much a twinge of pain as it is a show you can do with or without it, unless you are a super fan of Nicholas Tse or Shawn Yu! Haha!

The ending...
Jaycee Chan died in the end!!! He was sort of kicked to death by the gang leader as he grabbed tightly on the bad guy's leg, refusing to let go of it while summoning his remaining energy through his voice to his mates, pleading them to arrest him while secretly handcuffed his own wrist with the latter's ankle to aid the fight! The corrupted bastard cop was also shot in the end by both Chan and Fong.

Pigging Out!

Uhh! Just finished having dinner at Ichiban Sushi in Toa Payoh Hub with my family members!! Hey, the sushi there is freaking delicious! Sakae Sushi definitely pales in comparison. Frankly, sakae can't even hold a candle to ichiban!

Though ichiban's sushi is more expensive and also it doesn't have buffet, still it's worth the $! It's just a small price to pay to enjoy a scrumptious meal even in peak hours time like 7:30 pm! I will definitely dine in again in non peak hours for lunch!

I highly recommend ichiban sushi to folks who have strong cravings for sushi! The sushi there is really of good quality! Do try out the Nihotate(steamed scallop), lobster salad sushi and amaebi (sweet shrimp) sushi!! All of these are included in my favourite list!!

IRP v.s PW

Finally, i managed to slog finish all my irp articles....ohhh, irp means interactive reading programme, implemented by the gp department. i never like irp from the 1st day when i stepped into MI, in fact from what i know, nobody in the right mind will like it! Hahaa!!

PW, project work, i HATE it! i really feel that our group has hit the dead end like what jolene says to showcase our groundbeaker, momofuku ando, the instant noodle inventor. Seriously, our reason for choosing him as our groundbeaker is rather superficial...which is jus to let the public being awared and appreciative towards this invention that has benefitted many in the world. What impact did he really make in the society? i dunno...haha the essence part of scoring in pw is the discussion about the impact and the proposal!!!Gosh!!!! i feel damned so dead!!!

Anyway, today's friday!! my favourite day of the week. Went to chill out to watch the invisible target 男 儿 本 色 with jolene at the Grand Cathay. Wanted to watch thai movie Alone initially, but it's screening time was very late!

The show was alright. Very suave cum impressive actions and fights put up by the actors! Plot was the very typical Hong Kong robber-n-police adventure. However, there's still one sizzling factor about this film, that is ....taadaa, Nicholas Tse!!! Wahhhh!!! absolutely a leung zai...handsome guy in canto.. :) Both of us were jus simply struck by his super well-tone body... the 6 packs...n his good looks!!! ahh, so shuai~~~Hahaha!!!

Yup, me has been rather busy with mye for past few weeks... mye is finally over today...hmmm, dun think my mye results will be tt fantastic...1st few papers were rather ok...chemistry was completely hopeless...definitely flunked the subject cos there was quite some unexpected situation as i blanked out while doing...

Btw, today i also took my A'lvl chinese oral exam. Strangely, i m more nervous and unsteady as compared to taking the O'lvl chinese oral...stumbled at sum part of the conversation and maybe even the reading, though i managed to stop the examiner from prompting me questions And cum to think of it, my reading seems very slow and monotonous...hiaz...anyway wat is done is done, its a past already...

reflexology seesion

Went for a reflexology session with my mum this afternoon to alleviate my painful thumb...This was my 1st time there. The consultation was rather short as it lasted for about 20 minutes. After diagnosing that i have a minor sprain on my left thumb, there was a 5 min of administration stuff and about 15 minutes of massaging on the thumb affected area.

The reflexologist apply an exotic smelling herb solution on the affected area before the rubbing, massaging and pulling procedure. It was rather relaxing, but everytime when he hit the vital sport, WAAHHH...the pain shot through the neurones, draining off my endurance. Wow, i can't imagine how to get over it if it was a full blow!

The cost of the session is extremely expensive!!! Just 20 minutes, it charged a total of $20...wwooww!!! 1 min per dollar...hmmm, sounds rich and appealing eh?

=) + =X ???

Finally, the june holidays is round the corners!!!Hurray!!!

However, my happy mood is a little bit affected as i think i have twisted my left thumb accidentally yesterday. After getting up from the toliet seat, a sharp and excruciating pain strike me hard instantly on my left thumb...OUCHHHH!!! It hurts awfully!!! i know it seems absurd and stupid ..yea..but it had happened...dun ask me how, cos i also dunno how i twisted it... Anyway, mum's bringing me to reflexologist tmr...hope it doesn't hurt that bad like those dramatic scenes show in tv programmes...

Ok, enough of it...let's move on...

Hmmm, i haven't been updating for quite some time...so, here's a summary of last week....

Chem unit test, mock spa, pw headlines, [gp mye + mock chem P2 + sports day] taking place on the same day!! can u belive how long the day is for me!!! tumbling consecutively one after the other...haix~~~

Comments:

GP mye...able to finish both the essay, aq and summary....hopefully, able to get a slightly more decent grade as compared to my crappy class assignments...

Next, mock chem....totally a flop....seriously my chem really sucks!!! n it have been giving me a lot of trouble...my "pc and meomory space" doesn't seems to be fuctioning well together, dun seems to get through all this complicated chem theory, it doesn't make sense to me!!!

Lastly mi annual sports meets! An evenning / night event held in the mi stadium...huh? sounds interesting and romantic eh...heard that the reason why the pe department wanted to held it at night is because they wanted to test the brightness of the spot-light (not very sure wat's tat called) haha...haha...sounds simply ridiculous and lame!

My house, veri amusing, have broken the past 2 yrs record of championship and landed in the 3rd place...last second position...i guess its quite an acheivement huh? Well done...hmmm, actually i sort of expected the outcome...complacency taking place la...but luckily for us, we still managed to scrap the cheerleading title for dunno how many consecutive years to save us from a total humiliation...haha!! of course mi n valerie have been cheering, laughing, bitching and jeering for the whole evening until our throat were so score...yea haha all in all, i did enjoy myself in the sports meets though it end off very late. =) It had really closed off that tiring week in a joyous way.

Setting 1,2,3...

Recently, life in MI totally sucks to the core! School food tasted as awful as usual, extra $16.60 was deducted from my cash card when i only bought a brownie and bao that only cost $1.60. 10X the amt!!! Ridiculous huh? Fortunately, i discover it and went a whole lot of trouble to print the transaction slip, verify with the canteen supervisor, bah bah bah... before getting back my refund.

Arggh!! It is all because of their speed deficit, the shitty lousy cashless system(using cash card to pay) is introduced and have also created more problems for me since i dun have an atm card and usually my mum will give me a daily fixed amt of pocket $.

Yesterday, i genna warning for latecoming and that the school will call my parents for meeting before sending me to suspension !!! hmmm, guess how many times have i been late? 2... i have only been late for 2 days during this semester!!! and somemore 1 of the days is really due to traffic jam caused by the rainy weather! Damned i have even taken down pics during the logjam!

Seriously, i dun see anything wrong for being late to school. It's at least better than not coming to school rite? Somemore the school location is so ulu and so out of the way from my house! i need to take at least 1 hr long bus ride to school.

Lastly, today is the MI institute day (i-day), which is just like commendation day where awards are given out to outstanding students in area of academic, arts, music, cca etc... The school insisted that it's compulsory all yr 2 and 3 students to be present as audience! listless living statues more likely...
The guest of honour really took his bloody time to come to MI. The event starts 1hr 15mins later after we were assigned to our places! The ceremony as expected bored me to pants and finally i really cannot take it anymore n which i slipped off with Cai Er...

Sometimes, life can really be a struggle to live by, just like being stuck in mud, trying to remain one's composure while getting up but at the same time sinking even further down and feeling more panicky...Veri contradicting!!!
